When: 10:30 a.m., Saturday June 4 AND Sunday, June 5

Where: Los Angeles LGBT Center
The Village at Ed Gould Plaza
1125 N. McCadden Place
Los Angeles CA 90038

In a continuing effort to increase access to casting opportunities for actors who have been historically overlooked in the entertainment industry, Casting Society of America is creating a series of free classes for these groups. The first in the series is scheduled for June 4 – 5 with a focus on members of the transgender community. The classes, taught by industry professionals, will focus on communities of actors who have limited access to casting directors. Though the classes are free, space is limited and attendees must register and be available for both days of the classes.

June 4 will include An Introduction to Casting, The Casting Process and Audition Tips and Techniques. On June 5, students will divide into smaller groups, based on experience levels, to do scene work with industry professionals. The class is made possible in association with the listing company, Transgender Talent, with venue support by the Los Angeles LGBT Center and SAG-AFTRA LGBT Committee.

Trans men and women, and genderqueer or non-binary people, are encouraged to apply to attend.

Cost: Free
